New tourist product in Stubičke Toplice - educational and recreational trail "Kapelščak"
The "Kapelščak" trail will help you find the beauty of Stubičke Toplice and Zagorje hills so that you can enjoy them, and remember that walking is the oldest and healthiest way to get around.
The trail starts at Maksimilijan Vrhovac Park and continues along the former track of the hiking path through the forest area, along the Victims of Peasant's Revolt street, and climbs along the Kapelščak hill towards the belvedere and the Chapel of St. Catherine. The length of the trail is 2 kilometers and for a tour you need 45 minutes of easy walking. Walk along the preserved trail in intact nature. Along the trail there are several educational boards, as well as eco-messages for visitors, wooden benches and garbage baskets.
The objective of the project is to enrich the tourist offer in the Stubičke Toplice area for one additional content, due to a growing trend and demand in the tourist generating markets for an active vacation. Additionally the goal is to enable nature lovers to enjoy outdoors and to learn more about our history.
The trail is designed as a hiking trail so that all residents, as well as visitors of our municipality, can take a walk and breathe fresh air because the area is away from the main road that passes through the place and can also be used for excursions of " school in nature ". More demanding hiking trails are required by hikers to wear more sporty footwear or climbing shoes, while our trail is not so demanding. It would be advisable for guests and travelers, when visiting the trail, to bring along water or juice, especially in the summer.
The project developer is The Tourist Bord of Stubičke Toplice, the project partner is the Municipal Culture and Ecology Body of Stubičke Toplice and the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Areas of Nature of the Krapina-Zagorje County.
As a tourist valuation of new products and expansion of the tourist offer, the project was applied in April this year for a public tender of the Croatian Tourist Board, and the project funding was realized through the support of Croatian Tourist Bord, the financial support of the Stubičke Toplice Municipality and the Tourist Board.
The official opening of the trail is foreseen with "27. April "- Day of the Municipality of 2018, and the trail is already fully accessible to tourists.
